BeritaNasional.com — The CEO of PT Bandar Anugerah Jaya, Andri Manik, expressed his appreciation to the Jakarta Provincial Government for the progress of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Jakarta Phase 2 extension project.
He stated that, as a subcontractor directly involved, his company views the project not only as an effort to tackle chronic congestion but also as a strategic step to enhance mass transportation integration in the capital city, especially through better connectivity with key stations in South Jakarta.
Andri Manik expressed his gratitude and pride for his company’s contribution in supporting logistics and heavy material transport for this project.
“We are proud and grateful to contribute to this project by providing heavy equipment services that ensure smooth delivery of vital components. The DKI Jakarta Government’s initiative reflects a real commitment to the public, especially South Jakarta residents, as the integration of the LRT with Manggarai and Dukuh Atas Stations will significantly improve daily accessibility,” said Andri Manik.
The LRT Jakarta Phase 2 extension project is managed by PT LRT Jakarta, a subsidiary of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), a regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) of DKI Jakarta.
This project extends Phase 1A, which has been operational since 2019, connecting Pegangsaan Dua in North Jakarta to Velodrome in East Jakarta along a 5.8-kilometer line.
Phase 2 consists of two sections: Phase 2A (Kelapa Gading–Jakarta International Stadium/JIS) spanning 8.2 km with six stations, and Phase 2B (Velodrome–Klender) spanning 4.5 km with four stations.
As of mid-October 2025, the construction progress of the Velodrome–Manggarai segment has reached 74.3 percent, with completion targeted for next year. This will extend the line by an additional 6.4 km and integrate it with Transjakarta, KRL Commuter Line, and the Airport Rail Link.
The Jakarta Government is also reviewing further expansion plans to Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, expected to increase passenger capacity to 100,000 per day and enhance connectivity to key strategic areas such as Tanjung Priok and Ancol.
Andri Manik added that South Jakarta residents will benefit greatly from this integration, particularly with Manggarai Station, a major transportation hub connecting the LRT to the KRL and the future Dukuh Atas extension.
Manggarai Station records an average of 16,000–17,000 daily entries on weekdays, with an additional 125,000–160,000 daily transit passengers, making it Jakarta’s busiest mobility center.
Meanwhile, at Dukuh Atas Station, LRT usage is estimated at around 18,000 daily passengers, while MRT and KRL serve 152,000 and 39,000 daily users, respectively — reflecting the massive scale of Jakarta’s integrated public transport system.
